Goldcorp’s San Martin Mine Reclamation in Honduras

Goldcorp's San Martin Mine in Honduras is an example of responsible, sustainable development at each stage of the mining life cycle, including closure and reclamation. Following the closure of the mine, 1,500 hectares around the mine camp were donated by Goldcorp to the San Martin Foundation. Today, ecotourism and farming take place on the former mine site, providing functioning ecosystems and sustainable jobs to the people of the Valle de Siria.
