Sustainable compounds: ComfortDrive is Goodyear’s fourth tire to use soybean oil as a replacement for petroleum-derived oil. Soybean oil is a renewable, bio-based material that helps keep a tire’s rubber compound pliable in changing temperatures. In addition, some ComfortDrive tires also feature rice husk ash silica. This environmentally friendly material helps to reduce waste going to landfills and is an integral part of a specialized tread compound that delivers confidence in wet and cold conditions without compromising fuel economy or tread life;
