(3BLMedia/theCSRfeed) NEW YORK - July 29, 2010 - Green Irene LLC, the national green consulting firm, announces the launch of its first branded line of products, Green Irene Enzyme Cleaners.
“These chemical-free cleaners clean better than other green cleaning methods because they are powered by plant-based enzymes,” said Rosamaria Caballero, co-founder of Green Irene. The new household cleaners are available online or in person through any of Green Irene’s 600 Eco-Consultants, who can also demonstrate the products in a client’s home or business. The six cleaners in the new product line include: Green Irene Kitchen Cleaner, Green Irene Bathroom Cleaner, Green Irene Mildew Stain Eraser, Green Irene Stainless and Glass Cleaner, Green Irene Stain and Odor Eliminator, and Green Irene Rinse-Free Floor Concentrate. “I’ve tried many green cleaners that use different approaches to remove harsh or toxic chemicals from their formulations, but I had never been thrilled with their job performance,” Caballero said. “I set out to deliver Green Irene cleaning products that clean effectively, are safe for families and our environment, and are packaged in a more sustainable manner than most cleaners.” Families are starting to understand the need to remove harsh chemical-based cleaners from their home, Caballero added. The sales of green cleaners have increased 229 percent over the last four years, according to Packaged Facts, a market research firm. Despite this growth, green cleaners account for only 3 percent of all sales of household cleaning products in the USA, according to the same study. Effective Plant-derived enzymes are a better way to clean naturally, eliminate odors and maintain a healthy home. Each Green Irene Enzyme Cleaner contains hospital-grade, plant-based enzyme blends that are task specific. Enzymes work by naturally speeding up chemical processes and rapidly biodegrade materials such as grease, food, oil and grime into their basic elements like carbon, hydrogen and oxygen. Through this process, enzymes also remove odors by breaking down the organic materials that cause the odor. SafeGreen Irene Enzyme Cleaners are non-toxic, non-caustic, hypoallergenic and free of harsh fumes and vapors, phosphates, chlorine and petroleum surfactants. Since enzymes are present in all biological systems, when they finish biodegrading materials, they are absorbed back into nature, which is safe for the environment and anything around it. According to a report released by The President’s Cancer Panel in March 2010, public health officials had “grossly underestimated” the likelihood that environmental contaminants triggered a large proportion of the cancers diagnosed in 1.5 million Americans annually. “Because chemical-based cleaners are a significant source of environmental contamination in a home, it was important for our cleaners to not contain any chemicals, such as phosphates, alcohol, ammonia, chlorine, petroleum-based products nor artificial fragrances and colors,” Caballero said. “Being a mother of two, I wanted our Green Irene Enzyme Cleaners to contain safe ingredients, all of which are clearly listed on the label. For example, the complete ingredient list for the Green Irene Kitchen Cleaner is:Water, enzymes blended from plants, coconut oil surfactant, and essential oil fragrance (wild berry).” Sustainable Each year, North Americans consume and discard more than one billion plastic cleaning bottles, most of which end up in our landfills and oceans. In line with Green Irene’s mission, its cleaners come in concentrated formulas in combination with a packet refill system. The packet refill system dramatically decreases packaging waste in landfills and reduces the products’ carbon footprint by shipping less weight. The concentrated refill packets also save consumers money by eliminating the need to repeatedly purchase single-use plastic bottles. Additionally, the ingredients and packaging are all made in the USA. Cleaners can be purchased individually or as part of one of the Enzymatic Cleaning Kits. Prices start as low as $2.50 for a packet refill. For more information about the Green Irene Enzyme Cleaners, please visit http://www.greenirenecleans.com.
