Henry Davis York Publishes its Fifth Sustainability Report - Imagine 5
The report highlights business performance and the interaction the company has with its people, its clients, its community and its environment
December 19, 2012 /3BL Media/ - Leading Australian national law firm Henry Davis York (HDY) has issued their fifth sustainability report - Imagine 5.
A member of the Australian Legal Sector Alliance, HDY continues to spearhead sustainability practices in the professional services sector. HDY approaches sustainability holistically, and in this vein the report highlights business performance and the interaction it has with its people, its clients, its community and its environment.
Key highlights for FY 11/12 include:
• 21 % drop in gross total emissions via a computer fleet replacement, adjustments to power settings in its office equipment and a decrease in air travel
• 9 % reduction in absolute electricity consumption
• 2.7 % of revenue was represented across pro-bono practices, community investments and donations
• Total hours of learning and development increased to 698 hours
• Recognised as an EOWA Employer Choice for Women
The report was compiled using the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G3.1 Guidelines, underwent independent assurance by Net Balance Management Group, achieving a C+ rating.
HDY launched its first sustainability report in 2008 to enable a transparent account of its performance and commitment to sustainability and the challenges the firm has set in this area.
