How Tyson Foods Is Changing The World
By Jess Hines, Chief Blogger
Changing the world is no simple feat—and not a task that can be tackled alone. At risk of sounding cliché, I’m a firm believer in the age-old notion: “it takes a village.” Especially when it comes to the lofty goal of creating solutions for some of the world’s biggest problems.
As a Tyson Foods team member, I’m proud to be part of an organization that has earned a spot on this year’s FORTUNE CHANGE THE WORLD LIST. The 2018 list features 57 world-changing companies focused on finding answers to current public health, environmental, economic or other societal challenges, and making “doing good” part of their everyday operations.
Tyson Foods has been recognized in the environmental impact segment for investing in alternative protein companies, and for doing our part to address global health concerns about antibiotic resistance by moving to NO ANTIBIOTICS EVER (NAE) in our Tyson-branded chicken.
As one of the world’s largest food companies, we are committed to sustainably feed the world. And live our purpose everyday: raising the world’s expectations for how much good food can do.
Like Fortune’s #ChangeTheWorld list itself, the list of global challenges we face as a planet and as a society is ever-growing and ever-evolving. Surely, as soon as we conquer one problem, there will be another for us to collectively solve. But as long as we keep celebrating the changemakers and reimagining what innovation means to our business and its impact on the world, we will always be taking a step forward to preserve our future.
Now that’s a global village I’m truly honored to be part of. Thanks Fortune!
