Illumina Celebrates AAPI Heritage Month
Throughout May, we've celebrated Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month through internal events, as well as recognition of some of our amazing employees.
Kat Park, Sr. Employee Communications Specialist, works with teams across the company, using her incredible skills to help keep our employees connected to our mission and to share their accomplishments externally.
“As a communicator, I can contribute by keeping employees informed, engaged, and connected to our mission so all our brilliant scientists and innovators can focus on what they do best: transforming human health through genomics.”
For Anurag Agrawal, a Scientist II in our research and technology development department, the most rewarding aspect of working at Illumina is the ability to work on projects that offer exciting advancements in the field of genomics.
Anurag remains inspired by the global impact of his work. He’s also motivated by Illumina's collaborative culture and enjoys learning from colleagues with diverse backgrounds.
For six years, Joanna Chen served as a Nuclear Surface Warfare Officer in the U.S. Navy. Just a few months after leaving the Navy, she joined Illumina as a Project Manager for our Global Equipment Lifecycle program to continue working to impact the lives of those around her.
Thank you to each of these employees for being part of the Illumina family!
