Innovation at Enbridge an Enterprise-wide Opportunity
Employees from across Enbridge collaborated on more than 300 technology development and innovation projects in 2020.
A new report on technology development and innovation at Enbridge highlights some of the projects that made a difference in 2020. It also explains the process we employ as we work to turn promising ideas developed within and across the company’s business units into new products, services and applications.
The 2020 Innovation Report, published externally for the first time this year, underscores how individual innovation projects and a collective innovation mindset are having a big and growing impact on our top priorities, including safety, efficiency, reliability and environmental performance. Showcasing significant efforts that have been successfully championed across the organization, the Innovation Report makes it clear that innovation is everyone’s role, whether or not it’s part of a job title or a department name.
In 2021, the report forecasts Enbridge will continue to build from the work of 2020, encouraging new innovations, both large and small, including expanding the company’s use of unmanned systems, machine learning and artificial intelligence.
