Integrated Eco Strategy and Toxnot Announce Partnership to Streamline Product Ingredient Disclosure
NORTH ADAMS, Mass., April 24, 2019 /3BL Media/ — Integrated Eco Strategy (IES) and Toxnot announce a new partnership designed to integrate their respective materials transparency platforms. This partnership enables manufactures to quickly and efficiently share building product ingredient data and meet the requirements of certifications such as the Living Building Challenge (LBC) and Declare in new, powerful ways. Both companies are partners with the International Living Future Institute (ILFI), an environmental NGO that administers the LBC, the world’s most rigorous proven performance standard for buildings.
The partnership of IES and Toxnot streamlines the LBC certification process and substantially improves manufacturers’ ability to upload, share and utilize their most up-to-date product ingredient data. Manufacturers and their suppliers will see reduced overlap in reporting requests. Toxnot allows users to respond to LBC requests as well as multiple other reporting formats such as Declare, HPD, and LEED, all from the same interface without reentering data.
IES offers material/product research support for building projects via Red2Green (R2G), their proprietary healthy materials database. Toxnot provides product manufacturers with a single platform to efficiently manage product disclosures in various program formats. Inclusion in the R2G database helps companies raise the industry profile of their healthy building products.
ILFI selected Toxnot as the software platform for the creation of Declare Labels, the fastest growing standard for reporting on product transparency. ILFI has endorsed R2G as a neutral platform for efficient materials research, available by subscription to all project teams, including independent sustainability consultants.
Both organizations are dedicated to tackling the key barriers to chemical transparency in the building sector.
