Child abuse and neglect affects over 1 million children every year, and costs our nation $220 million every day.
When we invest in healthy child development, we are investing in community and economic development. Unfortunately, children are sometimes exposed to extreme and sustained stress like child abuse and neglect, which can undermine a child's development.
April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. To highlight this issue and ways companies and individuals can help, we reached out to one of America's Charities' member charities, Prevent Child Abuse America. Prevent Child Abuse America has worked for over 40 years to ensure the healthy development of children and the prevention of child abuse and neglect nationwide.
