Jefferson Twp Students Awarded Best in Nation Prize for App Design

JEFFERSON — Middle School students are being honored today for their app design, “Super Science Girl,” one of eight winners in the national Verizon innovative App Challenge.
The app is designed to spark young girls interest in science and technology activities. Verizon officials will join district officials, Jefferson Township principal Kevin Lipton and teacher Nancy Harris in presenting the award this morning at the Oak Ridge school.
The students' design was selected from more than 1,300 from around the country.
