JetBlue and Airbus Take Flight with Something New Under Their Wing

In partnership with Airbus, JetBlue recently launched its first flights powered by renewable jet fuel. Last fall, JetBlue fueled its Airbus delivery and acceptance flights from Airbus’ US facility in Mobile, Ala. with a renewable jet blend.
With an aviation industry goal to cap net greenhouse gas growth from 2020 onward, renewable jet fuel is a key aspect of JetBlue’s emissions reduction strategy. JetBlue is dedicated to leading the way in sustainability initiatives across the industry, and the introduction of renewable jet fuel is a historic step towards the future of the airline and industry.
