JetBlue Celebrates Launch of Service to Nashville With A Day of Surprises at Cane Ridge Elementary School
May 11, 2016 /3BL Media/ - On Friday May 6, JetBlue hosted a special day of surprise and delights for students at Cane Ridge
Elementary School in Nashville. Rock band Moon Taxi surprised third and fourth graders with a surprise pop-up concert. Additionally, JetBlue crewmembers read to first and second graders. The airline partnered with First Book to provide #BooksToKids and donated 650 age-appropriate children books, one for each student to take a book home for their personal libraries.
As Moon Taxi hails from Nashville, the band was excited to join JetBlue to celebrate the airline’s new service to the Tennessee Capital. Moon Taxi surprised students as they played Moon Taxi’s hit song All Day All Night during a music assembly.
JetBlue partnered with VH1 Save The Music Foundation to have the indie rock band surprise students with a 30-minute set consisting of their hit songs including Morocco and All Day All Night. Following the performance, the band participated in a play-along and Q&A with students and shared how music has played a critical role in their lives.
