Jimmy Kimmel and Chevrolet Unite to #DayItForward
Kimmel and Chevrolet present needed school supplies to hardworking teachers
DETROIT, March 1, 2016 /3BL Media/ – Teachers at Whaley Middle School in Los Angeles were starting an online campaign to raise significant funds for necessary supplies when Chevrolet and Jimmy Kimmel Live! surprised them by stepping in.
Through its Leap Day campaign, #DayItForward, the late night host caught the educators off guard during a live segment with the news that Jimmy Kimmel Live! and Chevrolet would provide computers, musical instruments, sports equipment, chemistry supplies and more to the school in need.
In an added gesture of appreciation for the hard working teachers, Kimmel also announced that all 31 teachers will be provided with a trip to Hawaii.
“Chevrolet has a great relationship with Jimmy Kimmel and immediately embraced the opportunity to work with him through #DayItForward. To do something nice and unexpected for a group who are truly deserving of a kind gesture embodies the spirit of this movement,” said Paul Edwards, vice president, Chevrolet marketing.
