Join CIT In Donating One Million Meals
#GiveLikeYou and fight hunger this holiday season
NEW YORK, November 27, 2018 /3BL Media/ — CIT Group Inc. (NYSE: CIT) today announced a new campaign in partnership with Feeding America® inviting individuals to join in donating one million meals[1] to people in need. Participants can help direct the donation by choosing to support Feeding America’s Back Pack Program, Mobile Pantry Program or Senior Grocery Program.
“This Giving Tuesday, we’re excited to launch our partnership with Feeding America and invite our customers, followers and employees to help us direct one million meals among three great programs,” said CIT Chief Marketing and Communications Officer Gina Proia.
#GiveLikeYou
To participate, follow the #GiveLikeYou hashtag on Twitter and Facebook and vote for one of the three Feeding America® Programs. Each vote will donate 10 meals to the program of choice. The #GiveLikeYou initiative builds on CIT’s recently launched new brand proposition, Bank Like You.
$100 Monthly Savings, 100 Meals
In addition, for every opening of a Savings Builder account this Giving Tuesday through Dec. 20, 2018 at CIT’s national online bank, CIT Bank, the company will donate 100 meals. The new digital savings product is designed to reward consistent savers and provides a higher rate for those who make a deposit of at least $100 each month.
“With an estimated 1 in 8 Americans facing hunger, we’re grateful for partners like CIT who enable us to provide nutritious meals across the nation,” said Doug Montgomery, managing director of New Partnerships for Feeding America®.
Feeding America® is a nationwide network of 200 local food banks and 60,000 food pantries and meal programs that together serve more than 46 million people each year. CIT’s campaign runs from Nov. 27 to Dec. 20 this year.
