BENTON HARBOR — Chris Ball and his colleagues spent the better part of his workday pushing mulch on a playground.
This workday was different for Ball because he was taking part in the annual Day of Caring, where dozens of KitchenAid volunteers find local nonprofit organizations to help for a day.
Ball, vice president of global operations for KitchenAid, a Whirlpool Corp. brand, was with the largest group Wednesday behind the Discovery Enrichment Center in Benton Harbor.
