LA Kings Team up With Bikes for Kids Foundation to Surprise 60 Third Graders at Kingsley Elementary School in East Hollywood, Calif. With Bicycles
On February 17, 2022, AEG’s LA Kings recently teamed up with Bikes for Kids Foundation to distribute 60 bicycles to third grade students at Kingsley Elementary in East Hollywood, Calif.
The event was part of the club’s G.O.A.L.S. program with Blue Shield of California, which focusses on character building and wellness activities for youth in Los Angeles.
Students were initially told they were entering an essay contest to win a bike and were surprised when LA Kings mascot Bailey joined members of the club’s Hockey Development Team, LA Kings Ice Crew presented every student in the class with a bicycle.
Students were also able to play Ball Hockey with the LA Kings Hockey Development Team and Ice Crew.
LA Kings G.O.A.L.S. is an umbrella program encompassing all LA Kings and Blue Shield of California sponsored character building and wellness activities. The program equips children in Los Angeles with the practical skills and tools they need to lead healthy lives by championing Green solutions, Open outlooks, Active bodies, Local leaders, and Sharp minds.
