Registration is now open for the 2016 International Women's Day Forum in New York City on March 7-8.
On March 7 and 8, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation Corporate Citizenship Center, United Nations Office for Partnerships, and UN Women will host the 6th Annual International Women's Day Forum. The event will convene public and private sector leaders to explore inclusive solutions that create opportunities for women and girls around the world.
During this two-day program, more than 500 private sector innovators, development practitioners, and thought leaders will convene to explore how the business community is applying a gender lens to local and global development work. Conversations will focus on issues such as:
- Empowering Women in the Supply Chain and Entrepreneurs
- Financial Inclusion
- Maternal and Child Health
- Education and Skills Gap
- WASH
- Women's Role in Communities for Peace and Security
Past forums have featured speakers such as Chelsea Clinton, Vice Chair, Clinton Foundation, Dotti Hatcher, Executive Director, P.A.C.E. Global Initiatives, Gap Inc., Ban Ki-moon, Secretary General, United Nations, Charlotte Oades, Global Director, Women's Economic Empowerment, The Coca-Cola Company, and Ambassador Melanne Verveer, Executive Director, Institute for Women, Peace, and Security, Georgetown University.
