Little Leagues Experience Buffalo Bison Games Courtesy of CITGO and Goetz Energy
BUFFALO, N.Y., August 6, 2015 /3BL Media/ – A group of Buffalo-area little league teams will attend Buffalo Bisons baseball games this summer thanks to CITGO Petroleum Corporation and branded Marketer Goetz Energy. With support from local retailers in New York, the tickets were given to area Little League teams that will head to the ballpark with their families for games throughout the summer.
Goetz Energy Manager of Gasoline Marketing Steve Jackson chose to focus on helping Little League teams from low-income areas that would not typically be able to attend the games. “With help from CITGO, we can help children in the Buffalo area who normally would not get an opportunity to watch the Bisons play ball with the chance to attend a game,” said Jackson. “We are committed to helping children in the Buffalo community stay engaged on the field, at home and at school.”
Five local Little League teams in the Buffalo area will receive tickets from Goetz Energy, including Tonawanda Little League, Central Amherst Little League, Central Niagara Baseball & Softball Little League, Grand Island Little League and River Rock Little League.
Together with community leaders, CITGO is dedicated to improving the lives of the people of the Buffalo area as part of the ongoing commitment to supporting the underprivileged in the communities in which its employees, marketers and retailers live and work.
"We are happy to work with great corporate partners like Goetz Energy and CITGO to bring many worthy members of our community out to the ballgame at Coca-Cola Field," said Buffalo Bisons Director of Corporate Sales Jim Harrington.
Supporting Little League teams reflects just some of the many ways CITGO fosters deep local connections and encourages healthy living. Committed to community involvement, CITGO supports sports- and health-minded organizations like the Special Olympics and the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), and its employees, marketers and retailers volunteer thousands of hours of their personal time to these charities and other local nonprofits, as well.
