Major Leaguers Past And Present To Share The Game They Love With 300 Members Of The James Mosher Baseball Youth League

June 9, 2015 /3BL Media/ - Major Leaguers past and present to share the game they love with 300 members of the James Mosher Baseball youth league

WHO:

Current Major Leaguers Adam Jones and Delmon Young of the Baltimore Orioles. 

Former Major Leaguers, including former Hall of Famer and Orioles legend, Frank Robinson, former Orioles All-Star outfielder and current MLBPA Special Assistant, Jeffrey Hammonds, former Orioles All-Star outfielder and 17-year veteran, Eric Davis, current Orioles coach and former Major Leaguer Wayne Kirby.  

MLBPA Executive Director, Tony Clark and MLBPA Senior Adviser to the Executive Director, Omar Minaya.

James Mosher Baseball representatives and 300 of the league’s youth players.

Local dignitaries and community leaders.    

WHAT

The Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA) - the union that represents all active Major Leaguers – and current and former Major Leaguers will host a fun-filled day of baseball, fine food and entertainment for more than 300 youth players and families enrolled in the James Mosher Baseball youth league.

The MLBPA will also present a donation of new baseball equipment to James Mosher Baseball representatives.

Current and former Big Leaguers will serve as honorary coaches during games, distribute autograph cards and participate in a question and answer session with the youth players.

Former players will also host a mini-coaching clinic for James Mosher Baseball coaches and would-be coaches. Founded in 1960, James Mosher Baseball is believed to be the oldest continuously operating African-American youth baseball league in the country.

The MLBPA and its baseball extravaganza enjoy the support of Bon Secours Baltimore Health System.
