Despite Nike and Gap’s supply chain challenges in the 1990s, recent issues at Apple and Coca-Cola show that we still lack a clear roadmap on how to address these new risks. Many of Walmart’s suppliers, for example, are scrambling to get up-to-speed on managing social and environmental risks. Meanwhile, some companies are findings that properly managing these issues in their supply chains can be a source of competitive opportunity. In this Webinar, Professor Stephen Brammer of the UK’s Warwick Business School will present the new findings from a comprehensive review of the research and best practices on how to build competitive and sustainable international supply chains. He will describe the most common management practices used to address these issues and explain why they aren’t enough.
