Marina Bay Sands was abuzz with activity as Team Members came together to give back in many different ways during the holiday season.
From December 5 – 11, over 480 Team Members came forward to donate their pre-loved and even brand new clothes and bags for the collection drive jointly organized by Sands Eco360° and Sands For Singapore, a division of our corporate citizenship program Sands Cares. Team Members generously donated their items which included a Diane Von Furstenberg dress, Kate Spade bags and men’s suits among other items collected. The clothes and bags were sold at the Team Member Sale and Bazaar on December 14 and 15.
The Team Member Sale and Bazaar generated S$31,090 in sales, which will be donated to the Association for Persons with Special Needs (APSN), one of the properties designated charities. Unsold clothes and bags will be donated to Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations (SCWO).
The effort was in large part to the commitment of over 340 Team Member who contributed over 700 volunteer hours from December 5-15. They manned the collection booths to receive the donated items from Team Members, sorted boxes of collected items to organize them for sale at the bazaar and became salespeople at the bazaar!
