Melissa Ben-Ishay to Keynote the 2018 Tri-State Diversity and Leadership Conference
NEW YORK, May 1, 2018 /3BL Media/ – The Tri-State Diversity Council is proud to welcome Melissa Ben-Ishay as a keynote speaker for the 8th Annual Diversity and Leadership Conference. The conference will take place in New York, NY at the New Yorker Hotel on August 23, 2018. The theme of this year’s annual conference is “Inclusion: The Source of Innovation.”

Melissa Ben-Ishay is a mom, baker, and founder of Baked by Melissa, the New York City-based brand famous for its signature, bite-size cupcakes and treats. Passionate about baking since childhood and with the idea that people should be able to taste more flavors without a post-dessert guilt trip, she decided to do what she loved and launched Baked by Melissa in 2008 after being let go from her job in advertising. Today, the company operates 14 stores and ships nationwide. Melissa currently serves as the company’s President and Chief Product Officer. In October of 2017, she released her first cookbook, Cakes by Melissa.
The 8th Annual Tri-State Diversity & Leadership Symposium will open at 8:00 AM with breakfast, registration and networking. Attendees will have the opportunity to attend various informational sessions covering topics such as “Leading with Emotional Intelligence,” “Best ERG/BRG Practices,” “Destination C-Suite,” and more. Awards such as the Tri-State area’s Most Powerful and Influential Women and Leadership Excellence will also be presented to some of the most notable diversity and leadership advocates in the area.
