MPLX Named Energy ESG Top Performer by Hart Energy

MPLX earned a 2021 Energy ESG Top Performers Award in the public midstream category from Hart Energy on Nov. 29. The winners were announced at the annual Energy ESG Conference in Houston. Accepting the award on behalf of MPLX were Vice President of Gathering and Processing (G&P) Operations West Ed Cimaroli, Vice President of Terminals Laurie Wilkins and President of Marathon Pipe Line (MPL) and Vice President of MPLX Operations Shawn Lyon.

"It was an honor to accept this award with Laurie and Shawn on behalf of MPLX,” said Cimaroli. “I'm incredibly proud of G&P 's accomplishments, most notably reducing our methane emissions intensity, and it’s exciting to see how our actions support a larger effort.”

"We are challenging ourselves to lead in sustainable energy across MPLX,” added Wilkins. “From the use of vapor recovery units at our terminals to MPL’s efforts to increase pipeline safety awareness and public engagement, Logistics and Storage has answered the call. Combined with G&P’s efforts, it is inspiring to know we are making a difference."

"It really does take all of us, together, working towards this common goal,” said Lyon. “This is a moment to celebrate what we've accomplished, and the future holds so much more for us as we continue to embed sustainability into all we do at MPLX."
