Nalco India Wins Aqua Excellence Award
(3BL Media / theCSRfeed) Pune, India - December 14, 2011 - Nalco India won the 2011 Aqua Excellence Award from the Aqua Foundation in the category of Water Automation, Meters, Instruments and Testing Equipment. Alok Bhadra, country director, accepted the award on behalf of Nalco at a function held in New Delhi, India.
“We are honored to be recognized for our contribution to conserving precious water resources and energy while extending equipment life through our innovative 3D TRASAR® automation technology,” Alok said. “3D TRASAR is complemented by our Nalco 360™ Service, a web-based, 24-hour and 7-day-a-week remote surveillance and response service.”A team of expert “water doctors,” operating out of the Expert Center in Pune, manages the service. Team India has 300 running installations of 3D TRASAR® units, with documented environmental Return on Investment (e-ROI) cases for business partners in both the Water and Process Services (WPS) and Energy Services divisions.
“We will continue to educate our customers and demonstrate our expertise, leveraging our 3D TRASAR technology in cooling, boiler and membrane applications” Alok added.
The Aqua Awards, instituted in 2009, are the highest awards conferred by the Aqua Foundation to its members and stakeholders in recognition of their outstanding achievements in the field of water.
The Foundation is a non-governmental organization (NGO), which undertakes initiatives for scientific and social knowledge creation and diffusion regarding water and its vital role in human survival. The Foundation, which educates people about sustainable use of water and conservation methods, is looking into the question of water quality and working towards understanding the issue of water pollution and its prevention.
