National Diversity Council Elevates Diversity in Law at Inaugural Legal Diversity Week
TEXAS, July 25, 2017 /3BL Media/ – The National Diversity Council is proud to present the 2017 Texas Legal Diversity Week. This event will be hosted on September 26-28 and October 3-5 in Dallas and Houston respectively. Legal Diversity Week pulls in attorneys, paralegals, litigation managers, judges, and executives to celebrate and advance diversity in the legal field.
“I am extremely excited to see this idea finally come to fruition,” said Dennis Kennedy, Founder and Chairman of the National Diversity Council. “Diversity in the legal profession is more important now than ever and we want to do all we can to foster its growth.”
This 3-day event will serve as an opportunity to bring the brightest minds in the legal field together to engage in enlightening discussions regarding diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Workshops include topics such as “The Law of Equal Employment Opportunity,” “Mentoring for Diversity & Inclusion,” and “Pay Equity.” It is our hope that each participant leaves with an enhanced set of skills and knowledge that will enable them to cultivate inclusive work environments.
The National Diversity Council will also present awards including the Top 50 General Counsels, Top 40 Lawyers Under 40, Top 50 Women in Law, and Top 50 Multicultural lawyers. Winners will be chosen based on their experience, leadership, and commitment to diversity. To nominate a lawyer whom you feel is eligible for one of these awards, please submit to www.legaldiversityawards.com by August 1, 2017.
