We’re all familiar with the adage, “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.” But in this case, I’m excited to share with you some highlights from the 2015 FrontStream Conference (FSCon) in Las Vegas on June 8 & 9. Versaic partners with FrontStream, offering best-in-class grants, donations and sponsorship management to complement their best-in-class employee engagement solutions, so attending this conference was a perfect opportunity to learn more about the employee engagement industry.
I sat in on the Nonprofit-Business Partnership Panel (featuring: Tracy Nilles, VP of Global Corporate Leadership, United Way; Scott Jackson, President and CEO, Global Impact; Steve Delfin, President and CEO, America’s Charities; and Steve Rabb, Chief Marketing and Revenue Officer, Community Health Charities) and got some interesting insights on creating relationships between nonprofits and corporations. Here are a few summary highlights:
- Both charities and businesses are interested in learning about their impact.
- Elements of a great partnership include communication, flexibility and embracing a true partnership approach.
- Technology enables better relationships between nonprofits and corporations, but it does not replace the personal touch.
