Okeanos will showcase the technology at an experiential “Made From Stone Market” activation inside the Climate Action Innovation Zone (Booth #5). Additionally, Okeanos has partnered with Responding To Climate Change (RTCC), who will host Okeanos in the Blue Zone, where CEO Florencio Cuétara and Chief Government Affairs Officer Martina Hauser will speak on panels discussing Sustainable Fashion in Brazil, Innovative Technology & Transfer, and the Role of the Private Sector in Sustainable Urban Development.
On November 11th, Okeanos will bring together leaders in the field of industry, regulation, government and civil society under one common goal: reducing the amount of plastic in circulation and starting today. The Less Plastic Now! Opportunities & Challenges panels will feature voices of legislators, impassioned NGO’s and leading sustainability organizations from around the globe. Beginning at 4:30PM EET (14:00 GMT+2/10:30AM EST) inside the Glasgow Breakthrough Room at the Climate Action Innovation Zone, Okeanos CEO & Co-Founder Florencio Cuétara will introduce Made Form Stone technology in a keynote session entitled Okeanos 101, highlighting nature’s inspiration behind Made From Stone, Okeanos’ fully developed global supply chain, and the ease and affordability of local adoption. In the following session, World Kinect Energy Services will lead a conversation with VERRA, the International Carbon Standards organization and Okeanos to discuss Carbon Offsets: New Options to Enhance your Climate Strategy. Immediately following, Okeanos brings together the UNFCCC with senior officials from the Ministries of Environment of Ecuador, Colombia and the Dominican Republic for an important conversation about Leading Technology Transfer in LATAM. Finally, a conversation entitled #WeAreTheSomeone introduces Greenish, Plastic Bank, and the American Sustainable Business Network (ASBN), organizations working to combat plastic pollution all along the plastic value chain from prevention and cleanup to circular economy solutions and legislative efforts.
