Online Concert With GRAMMY-Nominated Artists Benefits Whole Planet Foundation
In an online concert presented by URSA Live, women artists are collaborating to fund women entrepreneurs through Whole Planet Foundation in honor of International Women’s Day.
2021 GRAMMY-nominee Debi Nova from Costa Rica, singer and actress Andy Allo, star of the Amazon Original series Upload, GRAMMY-nominated Irish singer-songwriter RuthAnne and recording artist Whitney McClain will join forces to raise awareness and funds for poverty alleviation.
The virtual concert takes place March 7th from 6-8pm CST with $10 General Admission tickets. Also, before the concert starts, fans and supporters can virtually meet the artists via limited $35 VIP Meet & Greet tickets.
Proceeds benefit Whole Planet Foundation’s microlending programs to alleviate poverty for women entrepreneurs in the United States and 76 other countries. "In 2015, I was happy to perform at the Whole Planet Foundation pre-GRAMMY Party in Los Angeles and learned how Whole Planet Foundation empowers women and families in Costa Rica and around the world. This year, I am excited to visit local women entrepreneurs near my home in Guanacaste who are funded through their microfinance partner, Asociacion Costa Rica Grameen. These women are strong and resilient especially during the challenges of the pandemic. They have superpowers like in my song “Superpoderes”. I can’t wait to perform the song and dedicate it to women superheroes everywhere on International Women’s Day!” – Debi Nova
Debi will share her experience from a recent visit with women entrepreneurs in Costa Rica organized by the Asociacion Costa Rica Grameen. Debi was also a performer at the same pre-GRAMMY party in 2015 as Andy Allo another inspiring international artist.
“I have supported Whole Planet Foundation since 2014 and with some fun and organic performances at their Pre-Grammy parties and in Whole Foods Market stores, pre-pandemic of course. Soon after I started supporting, the Foundation started funding microcredit in Cameroon where I was born. It has since funded many women entrepreneurs like Margaret, a local weaver who makes raffia mats and dolls, and their families in Cameroon. This year, I am so excited to perform in support of their International Women’s Day event and their important mission to empower women around the world!” – Andy Allo
Please join to watch these talented women along with artists RuthAnne and Whitney McClain, all women entrepreneurs powering other women entrepreneurs through Whole Planet Foundation – and encourage the next generation of female entrepreneurs.
