Over 1,000 Local Teachers Receive Classroom Supplies Donated by MGM Resorts International’s Las Vegas employees
MGM Resorts International is committed to supporting public education and the teachers in our community. For the 8th year, employees from the company’s Las Vegas resorts came together during the company’s annual Back to School Drive to donate classroom supplies to teachers from the Clark County School District (CCSD).
"We know teachers end up spending their own money to help buy supplies for the classroom," said Shelley Gitomer, MGM Resorts International vice president of philanthropy and community engagement. “We hope these donated supplies help set teachers and students up for a successful school year.”
Large bins full of frequently requested items including, backpacks, glue sticks, colored pencils and calculators were donated to the Education division of the City of Las Vegas and CCSD Partnership Office and distributed to over 1,000 CCSD teachers.
