Owens Corning Receives Industry Leader and Gold Class Sustainability Award
RobecoSAM’s “Sustainability Yearbook” recognizes company in Building Products Category
January 29, 2014 /3BL Media/ - Owens Corning (NYSE: OC) earned Industry Leader and Gold Class distinction from The Sustainability Yearbook, an annual list recognizing the most sustainable companies around the world.
The yearbook looks at companies’ sustainability performance in 2013 and ranks them as Gold, Silver or Bronze. The top performing company from each of the 59 industries is awarded Industry Leader. Since 1999, RobecoSAM has been assessing and documenting the sustainability performance of over 2,000 national and global corporations.
Owens Corning earned the study’s highest score among 18 entries within the Building Products industry. According to RobecoSAM, Owens Corning is considered to be the company within its industry that is best prepared to seize the opportunities and manage the risks deriving from economic, environmental and social developments.
