- 6.5% absolute global reduction in GHG emission since 2010
Through a combination of continued manufacturing footprint optimization, alternate and renewable energy supply deployment, and energy conservation, including LEAN energy programs, K-C achieved the biggest one-year reduction of 3% in greenhouse gas emissions since the launch of Sustainability 2015.
- 24% reduction in fiber used from natural forests
Kimberly-Clark leads the way in environmentally-responsible fiber use through its progressive fiber policies and goals.
- 26.4% reduction in manufacturing water use since 2010
In 2013, we achieved our 2015 water use reduction objective. The reductions were driven by a more efficient manufacturing footprint, water conservation programs and upgraded water and waste water systems that were designed with water use reduction as a key performance objective.
- 80% of K-C manufacturing waste diverted from landfills
K-C finds value-added opportunities for materials that would otherwise be destined for a landfill in both our manufacturing processes and by helping users of our products identify non-landfill solutions.
