Backyard Brine Co.

Backyard Brine Co is a new Holiday scanback partner this year donating to support microentrepreneurs living in poverty. The company is based in New York where Whole Planet Foundation funds microcredit through its microfinance partner Grameen America.

From December 1-31, 2019, 10% of the sales of their seasonal pickles for the holiday season will be donated to alleviate poverty through Whole Planet Foundation’s microlending programs in the U.S. and around the globe. Seasonal pickles include: Holiday Thyme, marinated in a fresh garlic, rosemary, and thyme brine, and Pumpernickel Ry-Ry, marinated in brown sugar and organic molasses brine.

Bear Pond Farm

“We’re Kat and Craig. We established our area’s first farmer’s market and then learned how to market our family farm-created sauces to stores, too. Whole Planet Foundation’s mission to support the world’s poorest people as they start their own businesses speaks to our hearts! This is our third year as donors to the Foundation.”

From December 1-31, 2019, $0.25 from the sale of Bear Pond Farm pesto sauces will be donated to alleviate poverty through Whole Planet Foundation’s microlending programs in the U.S. and around the globe.

Chameleon Cold-Brew

“We are excited to support Whole Planet Foundation and invest in the empowerment of communities around the world. At Chameleon, we’re committed to inspiring long-term economic, environmental, and social sustainability throughout our coffee supply chain. We’ve recently began working with some newly formed female-led coffee cooperatives in Myanmar and Indonesia to empower these women through purchase contracts and additional voluntary investments. Over the past year, we’ve funded one of the cooperatives’ organic certifications and purchased the very first 40,000 lbs from each of the cooperatives. In December, $0.10 from the sale of Chameleon Cold-Brew concentrates will be donated to alleviate poverty through Whole Planet Foundation’s global microlending programs.

Divine Chocolate

Divine Chocolate is proud to partner with Whole Planet Foundation and continue the tradition of donating five cents from the sale of every Divine Chocolate Advent Calendar sold in select Whole Foods Market stores to alleviate global poverty through Whole Planet Foundation.  Partnering with Whole Planet Foundation on their microfinance and women’s empowerment programs supports Divine Chocolate’s central mission of women’s empowerment through economic stability. Divine also contributes 5% of sales from this Advent Calendar towards empowerment initiatives for the women cocoa farmers of Kuapa Kokoo in Ghana.

With every purchase of a Milk Chocolate Advent Calendar in select Whole Foods Market stores, Divine will donate $0.05 per item during the month of December.

Dr. Praeger’s

Dr. Praeger’s joins Whole Planet Foundation this year as a $25,000 Poverty is Unnecessary Fund partner. In addition to this generous contribution, they have committed to donate an additional $1,000 this holiday season to reach additional microentrepreneurs with opportunity.  “Dr. Praeger’s is a family owned business that has been around for 25 years. We are happy to partner with and donate to Whole Planet Foundation to help support microcredit clients around the globe. 88 % of microcredit clients are women who work to support their families and that is something we understand and support. Whole Planet Foundation is an inspiration to the team at Dr. Praeger’s and has certainly given us a new, refreshed look into the impact we can help make to the world around us through Whole Planet Foundation” says Sophia Vitale, Associate Brand Manager at Dr. Praeger’s.

Fancypants Baking Co.

Fancypants Baking Co. pays it forward as a new Whole Planet Foundation holiday scanback partner this year donating a portion of sales in select Whole Foods Market stores to alleviate global poverty. “Whole Foods Market gave us our very first business loan; we are so happy and proud to pay it forward by contributing to Whole Planet Foundation’s microlending program that allows other businesses to grow and thrive.” Maura Duggan, Founder and President.

From December 1-31, 2019, $0.25 from the sale of Fancypants Baking Co. cookies will be donated to support microentrepreneurs in the U.S. and around the globe with opportunity.

Health-Ade Kombucha

Health-Ade Kombucha creates opportunity this holiday season!  From December 1-31, 2019, $0.10 from the sale of Holiday Cheers Health-Ade Kombucha will be donated to alleviate poverty through Whole Planet Foundation’s microlending programs in the U.S. and around the globe. “Health-Ade is so proud to be part of the journey of other aspiring entrepreneurs as we commemorate another year of supporting Whole Planet Foundation. Health-Ade was built on breaking the mold and “following our gut” so we are honored to stand with Whole Planet Foundation in their mission to alleviate poverty by supporting tenacious, innovative dreamers out there doing the same.”

Jessica’s Natural Foods

Woman-founded Jessica’s Natural Foods supports women microentrepreneurs by donating a portion of sales in select Whole Foods Market stores. “We strongly believe in giving back – we donate 5% of our profits to various non-profits. We love that Whole Planet Foundation helps to alleviate global poverty by empowering people through its microlending program,” says Jessica Mindell, Founder.

From December 1-31, 2019, $0.05 from the sale of gluten-free granola will be donated to alleviate poverty through Whole Planet Foundation’s microlending programs in the U.S. and around the globe.

Pact

Pact invests in global communities. The company believes the people who make Pact clothes are equal to those that wear them. Pact’s Fair-Trade Factory Certification ensures that the people who craft their clothing and home goods are treated fairly and provided with additional income to invest in their communities. Additionally, through their support of Whole Planet Foundation, they invest in women entrepreneurs living in poverty by donating a portion of sales to fund microloans around the globe.  “This December, Pact is committed to help alleviate global poverty through the work of Whole Planet Foundation. On top of all Pact apparel being on sale in select Whole Foods Market stores, we are also donating 10% of all sales to Whole Planet Foundation’s microlending programs.”

Stacy’s

In addition to supporting Whole Planet Foundation, Stacy’s passion for advancing women in the workplace shines through their current Rise Project initiative, in which the brand is supporting women across the country in building their businesses through funding, mentorship, and community.

From December 1-31, 2019, $1 from the sale of Stacy’s products in Whole Foods Market stores will be donated to alleviate poverty through Whole Planet Foundation’s microlending programs in the U.S. and around the globe.

The Republic of Tea

Since 2012, The Republic of Tea has helped create opportunities for microentrepreneurs around the globe living in poverty through their support of Whole Planet Foundation.

In December, $1.50 from each unit of The Republic of Tea’s Biodynamic Chai sold in select Whole Foods Market stores will be donated to fund microloans to help microentrepreneurs lift themselves and their families out of poverty.

The Seaweed Bath Co.

In 2012, The Seaweed Bath Co. received a Local Producer Loan from Whole Foods Market, which helped kick start their business and expand distribution at Whole Foods Market. In the spirit of paying it forward, The Seaweed Bath Co. team is proud to support Whole Planet Foundation as they continue to grow the business. This year, Allison and Adam of Seaweed Bath Co. were inducted into the Whole Planet Foundation’s Hall of Fame for their active engagement and partnership to help Whole Planet Foundation reach additional microentrepreneurs “We are extremely proud to support Whole Planet Foundation for another year. There is no better time than the holidays to give back. We are proud to be able to help other entrepreneurs get their start and do our part to help alleviate global poverty with our $10,000 commitment to Whole Planet Foundation.” Allison Grossman, Founder.

W3LL PEOPLE

W3LL PEOPLE proudly supports Whole Planet Foundation’s commitment to alleviate poverty around the globe.  W3ll People was founded in Austin, Texas where Whole Planet Foundation has disbursed $1 million to fund microcredit loans for low-income women. This holiday season, W3LL PEOPLE gives the gift of clean and opportunity by donating a portion of sales in select Whole Foods Market stores to fund additional microloans for the world’s poorest microentrepreneurs.

From December 1-31, 2019, 10% of the sales of their Expressionist Mascara will be donated to alleviate poverty through Whole Planet Foundation’s microlending programs in the U.S. and around the globe.
