Powering Progress to Meet the Challenges of a Changing World

A brand-new report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change provides a grim echo of previous reports – that the world’s population is heading toward a dangerous future if we fail to address the causes of climate change. Yet, as with earlier such reports, this new warning also comes with a hopeful message: That it’s not too late to put a stop to the worst impacts of climate change, but only if we act quickly.

Since 1903, PSEG has used science, innovation and engineering to drastically improve the lives of millions of people and communities by bringing power to their door – one of the greatest feats of the 20th century.

In the 21st century, communities around the globe face new challenges: Climate change, protecting the environment, enabling an electrified economy and ensuring all people thrive and prosper. These are issues our customers expect PSEG to help address.

Powering Progress captures all the company is doing, and will do, to meet the challenges and expectations of a changing world.

Every PSEG employee is already playing a part in Powering Progress: Whether we’re helping produce carbon-free energy, finding ways that customers can reduce their energy use, or enabling PSEG to perform essential functions. Powering Progress is the reason our employees come to work every day. It is our purpose, one we’re incredibly proud of and which requires everyone’s engagement – now and in the future.

Charting a new path for the future doesn’t mean leaving PSEG’s past behind. Instead, our company is building on our experience to meet the new challenges before us.
