Qualcomm products mentioned within this press release are offered by Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. and/or its subsidiaries.
Qualcomm is proud to announce that as of June 2022, they have joined over 4000 companies and organizations in Germany in becoming part of The Diversity Charter (“Charta der Vielfalt”), a corporate initiative to promote employee diversity in companies and institutions. The Diversity Charter aims to promote the recognition, appreciation and integration of diversity into Germany’s business culture.
The Diversity Charter believes all employees should be valued regardless of age, ethnic origin and nationality, gender, religion and worldview, physical and mental ability, sexual orientation and social background. Qualcomm is a company who supports these values. By signing The German Diversity Charter for their German entities (Qualcomm CDMA Technologies GmbH, Qualcomm Technologies International GmbH, Qualcomm Germany RFFE GmbH and RF360 Europe GmbH) Qualcomm shows and proves their recognition, appreciation, and integration of diversity into their organizations. By publicly supporting the German Diversity Charter, Qualcomm is supporting the needs of their employees, making them feel valued and motivated to utilize their potential for the benefit of the organization.
Qualcomm companies integrate inclusion and diversity into their business and culture. The Qualcomm Global Inclusion and Diversity team supports inclusion and diversity for all of Qualcomm. Qualcomm’s objectives include the following: to strength their relationship with partners, attract and retain the best talent, and foster feelings of inclusion within Qualcomm for each employee. These employee networks are: AbilityQ, Qualcomm Equality Employee Network, Qualcomm Black Inclusion Group, QWomen, QVets and U2Q.
According to The Diversity Charter’s ‘Diversity Factbook’, there are seven core dimensions that are most closely linked with an individual’s personality. Those seven core dimensions are incorporated in Qualcomm’s Code of Business Conduct (COBC) and are furthered by being part of The Diversity Charter association.
Enrico Salvatori, Senior Vice President, Qualcomm Europe, Inc. and President, Qualcomm Europe/MEA said: “Qualcomm is committed to diversity in the workplace. We as a company embrace and support diversity and are committed to all these open and inclusion topics. Our code of conduct demonstrates this and now signing and becoming part of The German Diversity Charter we want to promote this even more.”
Christian Block, Senior Vice President, Qualcomm Germany RFFE GmbH and GM of RFFE said: “Our employees and their values in the workplace are important to Qualcomm; we see diversity as an opportunity to showcase the talent and individualism of our employees. Being part of this association is extremely important for us and a step in the right direction to expand Qualcomm’s vision for employee diversity and inclusion across many more regions and countries.”
