Quality State Oil Hosts 27th Annual Golf Challenge to Benefit Local Chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association

Sheboygan, Wis., Sept. 7, 2016 /3BL Media/ – CITGO Petroleum Marketer Quality State Oil raised more than $28,000 for the Green Bay Chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) during its 27th annual Quality State Oil/CITGO MDA Golf Challenge. On July 13, Quality State Oil and MDA hosted golfers and MDA family ambassadors at Quit Qui OC Golf Club in Elkhart Lake, Wis., to tee off for a great cause and enjoy special events and prizes.

“We are so proud to have completed the 27th year of the Quality State Oil/CITGO MDA Golf Challenge,” said Scott Stangel, wholesale marketing manager for Quality State Oil. “Together with the continued support of CITGO and our many corporate sponsors, we have been able to accomplish so much for this worthy cause over the years. We are thankful for the opportunity to help those affected by neuromuscular diseases in our community and hope to continue to benefit local families for many years to come.” 

As part of the event, participants enjoyed 18 holes of golf, refreshments throughout the day, a Sheboygan Brat Fry, prize raffles and live and silent auctions. The event also sold 11 $800 Gifts of Hope, which provide scholarships for MDA recipients to attend summer camp. 

The annual Quality State Oil/CITGO MDA Golf Challenge benefits families in the Sheboygan area who are dealing with the challenges associated with muscular disease. The funds raised directly support local clinics, care programs and support groups for children and adults coping with neuromuscular diseases. 

Quality State Oil has raised nearly $60,000 for MDA this year, donating more than $1,000,000 for MDA over the course of its 27-year association.
