Ray McDaniels, CEO of Moody's Corporation, Will Honor Employees and Engage Stakeholders on International Corporate Philanthropy Day, February 28th
On February 28, 2011, in celebration of International Corporate Philanthropy Day, Moody’s will recognize their philanthropic efforts with several initiatives.
Ray McDaniel, Moody’s CEO, will send an email to Moody’s offices worldwide recognizing ICPD and applauding the 1808 employees (44% of global staff) who participated in corporate sponsored volunteer programs in 2010, a 46% increase from 2009.
McDaniel’s email will acknowledge those members recently appointed to the first “Global Volunteer Council” which has representation from 20 offices in 14 countries around the world. This 33-member group will play a significant role in further expanding Moody’s volunteer programs on a global scale and help promote the international expansion of “Moody’s Afternoon of Service” program which launched in 2008 and gives employees an opportunity to volunteer in team-based projects coordinated with local nonprofit organizations.
