(3BL Media / the CSRfeed) New York, NY - April 7, 2011 - Recyclebank®, the company that rewards people for taking everyday green actions with discounts and deals from more than 3,000 local and national businesses, today announced that Chief Revenue Officer Samantha Skey, together with Ross Resnick, social media and customer marketing at Honest Tea, will participate in a panel discussing marketing to moms on April 12 at the ad:tech conference in San Francisco. The bi-coastal, annual conference brings together the most entrepreneurial and innovative minds of digital marketing, making it a premier industry event to hear the latest techniques in social media, mobile, viral, application-based and geo-location marketing.
Skey and Resnick will join fellow panelists from Microsoft, Motivity and BBDO to discuss the successes and blunders made by marketers trying to unlock the elusive mom demographic. With estimates attributing $2.1 trillion to their consumer spending in the U.S. alone, moms have become a priority market segment: one that has proved particularly difficult to engage, quick to voice opinions and fast to call out any marketing missteps. Drawing from research, case studies, and the latest digital marketing tactics, panelists will divulge what works and what doesn’t when it comes to reaching moms. Specifically, Skey and Resnick will offer lessons learned from a joint effort to authentically engage millennial moms to take environmentally preferred actions as a means to both promote sustainable consumption and foster brand loyalty. With more than 15 years of experience in social and digital marketing, Skey works with Recyclebank brand partners such as Honest Tea, Coca-Cola® and Yoplait to create marketing campaigns that engage and inspire consumers around sustainable action. Since joining the company in 2010, Skey has also played an essential role in guiding the expansion of Recyclebank’s digital platform and online rewards programs. Prior to Recyclebank, she contributed to the development of one of the earliest online competitive gaming platforms, the Riddler Network, and held various digital strategic development roles at CNET, Disney and Alloy. In his role with Honest Tea, Resnick drives social media and customer marketing for the nation’s top-selling organic bottled tea company, creating innovative campaigns such as "Honest City" which established pop-up shops based on the honor system.
