May 12, 2014 /3BL Media/ - Fibria Celulose S.A., the world’s leading producer of hardwood pulp, has published its 2013 Report with the company's main results in the governance, economic-financial and social and environmental responsibility areas. The document follows the G4 guidelines of Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) for the preparation of sustainability reports, which recommends more objectivity and focus on the aspects most relevant to the perpetuation of the business. Its structure reflects the company’s Materiality Matrix, which was updated at the end of 2013 after consulting with stakeholders.

A description of Fibria’s activities, and the impacts they cause, is made through concise texts and info charts. In favor of clarity, each chapter is about a material theme, dealt with in a manner that offers an overview of the entire topic. The Report covers the operations of Fibria’s Industrial and Forestry Units as well as the pulp loading operation at the Port of Santos (SP). Before its publication, the document was submitted for independent verification by Bureau Veritas Certification, seeking to achieve the level of GRI G4 Comprehensive application. External experts also conducted a critical reading of the report.

In addition to the print edition, the Report may also be consulted on-line in a version offering access to the indicators previously collected in past years, which can be downloaded through a tablet application.
