(3BL Media / theCSRfeed) January 30, 2012 - International law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP has recently published its 2011 Corporate Responsibility report 'Aiming even higher'.
Freshfields’ Corporate Responsibility report outlines the achievements, challenges and progress for the year ending 30 April 2011, giving a detailed account of the firms performance in four key areas: supporting our communities, valuing our people, protecting our natural resources and business and ethics.
The report has been checked by the Global Reporting Initiative and been awarded with a B+ application level against its sustainability reporting framework, becoming the first international law firm to do so. The report was also independently assured by Deloitte LLP using the AA1000 AccountAbility Principles Standard.
A key feature of the report is Freshfields support of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games as the official legal services provider.
Looking forward, Freshfields has made a commitment to establish an external advisory board made up of independent specialists, representative of its main stakeholder groups – including clients, sustainability experts and NGOs. The advisory board will add an even greater perspective to the firm’s strategic approach to Corporate Responsibility and further increase its transparency.
