(3BL Media / theCSRfeed) August 10, 2011 - Provident Financial has published its 2010 corporate responsibility (CR) report which is available at: http://www.reportalert.info/ra/profiles/ProvidentFinancial/2011?ID=40446
The purpose of the report is to give stakeholders an annual account of how Provident’s CR programme enables it to manage the social, environmental and economic issues that are relevant to its business, and to set out the role that CR plays in enabling the business to remain profitable and sustainable.
Highlights of the report include:
- Comprehensive information on how the business models that enable its home credit and credit card products to be delivered to customers work.
- A progress report on the 22 three-year projects that have, to date, been supported via its Good Neighbour programme in the communities it serves from Dundee to Dublin and Bradford to Bristol to address issues such as crime prevention, unemployment, and health and well-being.
- Details on Provident’s continued efforts to minimise the impact that its business activities have on the environment, most notably through its move in October 2010 into a new, purpose-built head office in Bradford city centre which has a range of environmental innovations including rainwater harvesting and solar water heating.
Feedback from stakeholders on the information contained within the CR report is welcomed. Please share any comments or views you have by emailing corporateresponsibility@providentfinancial.com.
