(3BL Media / theCSRfeed) July 1, 2011 - Repsol has published its Corporate Responsibility Report 2010. The report explains the actions and initiatives carried out during the year to improve performance in relation to society, the economy and the environment. You can read the report at http://www.reportalert.info/ra/profiles/Repsol/2011/?ID=39059
Some of the most important milestones in the report include:
- Commitment to safety. Once again the lost time injury frequency rate (employees and contractors) has fallen by more than 14% compared to the previous year and more than 50% relating to the values achieved 5 years ago.
- Aware of the need to satisfy the demand for energy in a more sustainable way and to contribute to a world that emits less CO2, the New Energy Unit has been created with the aim of identifying opportunities, promoting projects and implementing business initiatives that contribute to a more diversified energy future with reduced CO2 emissions intensity.
- We have carried out various initiatives, including a study to establish the degree to which Repsol's operations have a social impact on indigenous communities in Peru and Bolivia as part of the due diligence process into human rights matters.
- We would also like to highlight the advances made in 2010 in the areas of diversity, integration and equal opportunities. These include the launch of a horizontal integration plan for people with disabilities in the industrial area.
