Key highlights for 2011 were:
- Launched Reconciliation Action Plan to advance opportunities for Indigenous Australians
- Continued progress in sustainable sourcing policies for palm oil, timber and paper, and seafood
- AU$63.2m contributed to the community
- 10.9% reduction in carbon emissions, compared to business-as-usual projections
- 16.3% reduction in carbon emissions per carton delivered by Woolworths-owned trucks, compared to 2007
- 30% reduction in Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate
- AU$60m invested in employee learning and development training
The Report was compiled using the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G3.1 Guidelines, underwent independent assurance by Net Balance Management Group, and again achieved an A+ rating.
