Republic Services and Make a Difference Day 2015
On Saturday, October 17, Republic Services joined Fresno City Councilmember Steve Brandau for the 7th Annual Make a Difference Day Soccer Festival. This event, put on by the Councilmember and the Fresno Fuego Soccer Club, brings hundreds of children age 5 and under to Downtown Fresno’s Chukchansi park for an amazing experience. The children had the opportunity to play soccer in the Triple A stadium with family and friends cheering from the stands. In addition to the soccer, a bounce house, merry-go-round and other fun-zone games are available for the players and their families as well as information booths from local organizations and City departments. The event brings in close to 4,000 people into downtown Fresno with nearly 800 children participating in the festivities. With nearly 80 volunteers and a dozen community sponsors, this event is held at no cost to any of the participants.
