Republic Services Participates in El Segundo Shred Day

Republic Services participated in the Shred Day in El Segundo, CA over the weekend of January 16-17. We were able to capture over 12,810 lbs. of shredded material and over 380 lbs. of cardboard boxes. We are pleased to announce this is our highest participation in Los Angeles to date!

According to the Environmental Shred Report on this event:

· Amount Collected: 13,190 lbs total

· Residents Served for this Event: 152

· Trees Saved: 112

· Gallons of Water Saved: 46,165

· Gallons of Oil Saved: 1095

· Landfill Space Saved: 21.76 cubic yards

· Hours of Energy Saved: 27,039 kilowatts/hour

· Air Pollutants Not Released Into the Atmosphere: 395.7 lbs.
