Rhonnda Parsons Edmiston Earns the 2014 Oregon Small Business Champion award by the U.S. Small Business Administration
Portland, OR., June 3, 2014 /3BL Media/ - Rhonnda Parsons Edmiston has been recognized as a 2014 Oregon Small Business Champion by the Portland District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration. The Small Business Champion honor is awarded to individuals or organizations that promote, assist, and aid local small businesses.

Since joining the company as Diversity & Business Equity Manager, Edmiston’s influence has expanded the company’s commitment to achieve sustained and successful participation of certified small businesses on all projects. She is recognized as a leader in the local diversity community and has developed a mentor-mentee program that pairs Howard S. Wright’s small business partners with senior leaders.
Edmiston is also passionate about the education of and engaging local youth in the construction workforce. She is a member of the Associated General Contractors, Oregon Columbia Chapter’s Workforce Committee; Board Officer and Member of the Portland Workforce Alliance; Board Officer and Member of Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; Board Member of the Portland State University Business Outreach Program; Advisory Board Member of Oregon Association of Minority Entrepreneurs (OAME); and Board Member of the Business Diversity Institute Board.
Edmiston received her honor during the Small Business Week Awards Luncheon on Thursday, May 22, 2014.
