Robinson Cano Brings A-List Celebs, Latin Flair to Charity Night
Robinson Cano is bringing Latin flair and A-list celebrities to his fundraiser in Seattle on the evening of Wednesday June 3.
The all-star second baseman is hosting “Canoche” — a night with Cano and friends that will have a Latin supper club feel — at the city’s Paramount Theater to benefit his RC22 Foundation.
Roc Nation Sports founder Jay Z and Rihanna will be there to support Cano as will former teammate CC Sabathia and his wife Amber Sabathia, who will be in Seattle with the visiting Yankees. Current teammates Felix Hernandez, Nelson Cruz and Kyle Saeger are among others scheduled to attend this unique, fun-filled event
The fundraiser is intended to help introduce the Seattle community to one of the foundation’s signature projects, the RC22 Dream School, which is a high-quality, early childhood educational institution and community center in Cano’s hometown of San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic.
“I want to share the work of my Foundation, which develops and expands high quality opportunities for kids in need specifically in the areas of education, wellness and fitness,” Cano said, adding that he also wants to expand his charity’s work in the Seattle area.
The evening will include dinner, dancing, a recognition ceremony honoring the Mariners, and live and silent auctions. There will also be a special presentation and introduction to the RC22 Foundation.

The online auction, featuring one-of-a-kind experiences and unique collectibles, will be on Paddle8.com from May 26 to June 3.
