Rockwell Automation Receives Military Friendly and Veterans in Business Honors
MILWAUKEE, November 17, 2021 /3BL Media/ - Military Friendly® has designated Rockwell Automation (NYSE: ROK) as a 2022 Military Friendly® Employer and the Milwaukee Business Journal honored Rockwell last week as part of its Veterans in Business Awards.
Military Friendly identifies organizations whose commitment to serving the military and veteran community is comprehensive in scope and meaningful in terms of actual outcomes and impact. The Business Journal’s Veterans in Business Awards celebrate U.S. military veterans and companies that strongly support veterans' initiatives in Wisconsin.
Rockwell was the sole employer recognized by the Business Journal which cited several of the company’s veteran-friendly programs, including its Academy of Advanced Manufacturing™ (AAM). Since its inception, AAM has upskilled, certified, and placed more than 250 military veterans as automation controls and instrumentation technicians.
Last week, Rockwell Chairman & CEO Blake Moret cited the strengths veterans bring to the workforce during an interview on CNBC’s Mad Money with Jim Cramer. Rockwell is actively seeking veteran and military reservists looking for a new professional challenge.
An important part of Rockwell’s veteran employee experience is its Military Veterans & Allies Group (MVAG) employee resource group. MVAG members help recruit, transition, and support both current and future Rockwell employees who have a military background. The group also offers a platform for employees to learn more about armed forces veterans.
Rockwell’s Co Nguyen, vice president of quality, is a U.S. Army Veteran and executive sponsor of MVAG’s Milwaukee chapter. He and Rockwell’s Cari Tralongo, lean project manager and an Air Force Veteran, were featured a video livestream that aired during July’s National Hire a Veterans Day. The two share why Rockwell is a great fit for veterans entering the next chapters of the military careers.
