Rockwell Automation’s Majo Thurman, director of environment, health & safety, discussed the green roof atop the company’s global headquarters building in Milwaukee in a recent interview with WaterMarks: An Atlas of Water for the City of Milwaukee.
Green roofs, sometimes called living roofs, are typically covered with vegetation and offer a variety of environmental benefits. Rockwell’s captures a million gallons of stormwater per year. At the time it was created in 2010, Rockwell’s green roof was the largest single-level green roof in the Wisconsin.
