At ON Semiconductor, corporate social responsibility is integrated into who we are as a company and our culture across the globe. We are proud to announce that we are officially a part of the United Nations (UN) Global Compact.
The UN Global Compact, launched in 2000, encourages collaboration between participating companies, UN agencies, labor groups and societies. In addition, it provides a framework of 10 principles in the areas of 9,000 actively involved businesses and non-businesses from 135 countries, including companies like Qualcomm, NXP and Intel.
We would also like to announce the stand-alone ON Semiconductor Human Rights Policy. Our membership with the Responsible Business Alliance requires a commitment to human rights, yet we feel the need to further prioritize that commitment with our own policy. Our participation in the UN Global Compact and standalone human rights policy enhances our commitment to employees and stakeholders. Ultimately, our goal is to be a good corporate citizen in the communities where we do business and ensuring that our customers and suppliers understand how seriously we take this commitment.
In alignment with this announcement, we are pleased to highlight our achievements in that assisted in advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development calls upon governments, businesses, nonprofits and individuals to work toward achieving 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs), each with specific targets associated.

Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth

Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production
Goal 16: Peace and Justice Strong Institutions
Goal 17: Partnerships to achieve the Goal
We are able to contribute to all 17 goals through our Global Corporate Giving, programs, initiatives and products to date. Moving forward, we will narrow our focus on SDGs that align best with our business, strategy and goals, while allowing us to continue to impact and achieving the UN’s SDGs.
