In recent years, the bicycle industry has stepped up to support bike advocacy and education programs like never before.   Just recently, the League of American Bicyclists published a new book, Smart Cycling. The book,  Promoting Safety, Fun, Fitness, and the Environment, published by Human Kinetics offers advice as to how to choose the right bike and gear, essential basic cycling skills, the rules of the road, maintenance and quick repairs, safety strategies, commuting and group riding.   Why is all this important?  As expressed in our sustainability consulting, bike commuting is a win-win for both businesses and individuals looking to reduce costs, embrace eco awareness, and adhere to business and personal sustainability programs.  However, to take advantage of all the great things cycling offers, you have to actually get ON the bike and ride it!  Having access to resources, tips, and a supportive environment makes it easier to enjoy cycling benefits.  And what might those benefits be?  As mentioned our eco friendly consulting, those that ride, enjoy the following:   Bike commuting improves your health:
